It was another good week for Stadia in numbers. The platform appears to be on a roll. Let’s start off with a new section - my favorites for the week followed by the milestones (including Sniper Elite 4’s big week).

My Favorite Content of the Week:

• Game: Sniper Elite 4. Others agree! See below.
• YouTube Channel: The Stadia Revolution https://www.youtube.com/c/StadiaWeekly1 - This guy has a small but growing channel about Stadia and his content this week was particularly heartfelt. He’s continually upping his game in terms of production quality and content value.
• Twitter: Stadia Super Saturday https://twitter.com/StadiaSaturday - Stadia Super Saturday is coming up! It will be a coordinated weekend of streaming from the YouTube community. They released the schedule on Twitter this week! I'm so hyped!
• Service: Stadia Hunters https://stadiahunters.com/ - As more people join the service (now 300) the global Stadia leaderboard gets better and the stats more valuable.

Milestones:

• Over 23,000 Stadians played enough of Sniper Elite 4 in its first week to be listed on the global leaderboard (it will pass 25K today). The SE4 leaderboard is great for tracking because it combines all difficulty levels and game modes. This gives you a sense of where OMG leaderboards would be if the leaderboards didn’t get wiped after 10 days. I suspect Sniper Elite 4 is bound to reach the same levels (over 100K) that Zombie Army 4 is at - possibly even higher. They are both great games but I like SE4 a little better.
• The Google Play Stadia App Review Count passed 14K: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.google.stadia.android - the rating is currently 4.1, the best of cloud streaming platforms!
• BATPixi passed 500 YouTube subscribers: https://www.youtube.com/c/BATpixi
• Stadia as a Platform passed 100 games (now at 102): https://www.reddit.com/Stadia/wiki/gamestatistics/gameslist
• The Hitman 1 pro difficulty leaderboard passed 10K. Since the leaderboards are split between difficulty levels (casual likely has about the same size) and it takes hours to make the first leaderboard, it's hard to compare this to ZA4 and SE4. For example, I'm not on the leaderboard (yet! it's in my backlog).

The numbers in the plot are likely significant underestimates of the true player counts on games and can't easily be extrapolated to gather Stadia Player or Pro Subscriber counts or compared against each other. There are a lot of caveats:

1. Some of the numbers may only show people who have manually (there are no defaults) set their privacy settings to allow: "Any Player" to see game activity. This is definitely the case for early Thumper numbers, and probably more (e.g. early Zombie Army 4 numbers and possibly early players in other games).
2. In OMD3, all leaderborads were reset 9 days after launch. This unfortunately was the most active time for the game. Leaderboard sizes are probably underestimated by between 15K and 75K.
3. In multiple games, player counts are split across leaderboards in multiple difficulty settings. OMD3 and Hitman fall into this category. I tried to capture leaderboards for multiple difficulty levels in the spreadsheet where possible (though the plot only shows one) but can't in the case of Hitman due to a bug.
4. The amount of effort it takes to be shown on a leaderboard varies a lot from game to game (e.g. very little time in Monopoly to hours in Hitman).
5. Leaderboards for some games only contain data from online multiplayer sessions (e.g. Uno, Breakpoint)
6. Family share was released on November 5, prior to this multiple users playing in one household were likely hidden.
7. Many Pro-subscribers either don't claim or don't play every Pro game because a) The genre isn't their Jam; b) They played the game already somewhere else; c) They have a backlog of games to play (this is my case for most of the Pro games!); d) They have their own reasons... Don't be the guy who tries to extrapolate the total number of Stadia Pro subscribers from these numbers. They show what they show!

Final Thoughts for the Week:

With "Family Share" being released it will be interesting to see if the slope of some of the plots goes up.
